Our club members are both domestic and international and most try join us during the summer season. Others visit when convenient. We encourage fellow naturists affiliated with other domestic or international clubs to visit us. Our facilities include a newly refurbished club house kitchen, clean and modern shower, laundry and toilet facilities.
Our 100 year old club house offers 3 tidy bedrooms, a social lounge, TV and games area, wood burner, a large kitchen with modern heating and cooking facilities (upgraded December 2018).
At night, glowworms can be found at certain times of the year along the driveway creek overhangs and brush.
Please respect the nature of our club is social nudity and the desire of our members to uphold our safe and family friendly environment. A note about our tariff structure: Nelson Sun Club is not a commercial camp. It is run for the members, by the members. There are no paid staff. Our members pay a nominal annual fee and run the club and maintain its facilities as volunteers, without remuneration.
Members of reciprocating New Zealand Sun Clubs and other international travellers with INF membership enjoy visitor and overnight tariffs in line with other, similar NZ Sun Clubs.
Other visitors are most welcome to try us, to experience our naturist lifestyle. We simply encourage such visitors to enjoy what’s on offer and consider becoming members of Nelson Sun Club. Membership enquiries: NSC Secretary
Note: For those travelling with self-contained vehicles, we do not have a dump station for motor home waste, however public dump stations are fairly close by.
Due to our location among pine forestry blocks, undulating rural hills and valleys, mobile phone signal is generally weak. Unfortunately this means no WiFi. We have members and visitors who count that as a blessing! However, for those who must stay connected, we do have a commercial signal booster device hardwired in the club house. It amplifies and improves signal delivery to mobile phones within the immediate vicinity.
For those with mobile phones on pre-paid / top-up / pay-as-you-go or limited data, we recommend you consider a top up to your credit or data cap limits prior to your arrival.
